Walking holidays around Aberdovey
If you’re feeling energetic, Aberdyfi is wonderful for walking holidays. The Old Stables is set on a hillside three miles from Aberdovey – it’s a great place for you to use as a base for your vacation. The Gwelfor Walk is a nice option, and not too taxing. More adventurous walkers may prefer the challenges of somewhere like the north-west facing gorge at Dol-Goch, but do your homework in advance, as some routes are very steep.
If you’re feeling a little more leisurely, why not take things easy for a day or two – there’s plenty to do in the apartment. In particular, you’ll find the private decking terrace a great space to unwind. Just keep a keen eye out for the otters and red kites, if you’re lucky you may catch a glimpse without venturing further afield!
